Computing

Computing at Lode Heath School provides students with the necessary skills, both technical and social in order to cope with everyday life. Students are enthused through exciting and challenging learning environments designed to encourage them to explore the ICT world ready to embark upon any challenge that may confront them.

At Key Stage 3, Computing is taught in two discrete lessons per week in mixed ability groups. Pupils will take part in a variety of exciting and challenging tasks either individually, in pairs or in groups. They will utilise the latest software from Microsoft Office to the Adobe Suite, all of which are used in the ‘real world’. They will have the ability to communicate electronically via Moodle and also their school e-mail, all of which is provided by the school.

At Key Stage 4 students can opt to do either Computer Science or Creative iMedia for 3 hours per week.
